Job Summary:
The Service Department Team Lead is responsible for removing barriers and finding solutions to problems impacting the team. The Team Lead understands the importance of quality throughput to the schedule and is committed to helping the team succeed. The ideal candidate for this role is tenacious, cares and wants to help fellow technicians, and understands how the bigger picture of coordinating supplies and people leads to overall team success. The Team Lead understands what it takes to create an exceptional customer experience to Trinity customers and is dedicated to ensuring that occurs, for all customers.
- Onboard new hires according to plan designed with Service Manager.
- Ensure quality throughput to the schedule for all technicians and jobs.
- Lead and manage shop technician team in coordination with Service Manager.
- Uphold standard of organization and cleanliness throughout the shop at all times.
- Collaborate with departments to coordinate supplies and materials for service jobs.
- Escalate issues impacting the schedule to Service Manager.
- Own completion and submission of necessary materials to Safety Manager and other departments ongoing.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Able to reliably thrive without direct, constant oversight.
- Experience leading a team in a similar environment is preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant technician work in the same or a similar field.
