Data Analyst

Job Description
The Data Analyst owns reporting and analytics that drive operational and commercial decisions. With a growing data team, this person will build reliable SQL datasets, create Power BI dashboards, and present clear insights to leaders and frontline teams. The ideal candidate for this role is tenacious, thrives with independent work, enjoys collaborating with peers, and takes pride in full ownership of their work. This is an in-person role, intended for onsite collaboration with the team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions) to build trusted datasets for reporting and analysis
- Build and maintain Power BI solutions (Power Query, data models, DAX measures, row-level security as needed)
- Define metrics/KPIs, document logic, and ensure data quality (reconciliations, anomaly checks)
- Turn ambiguous questions into analysis plans; deliver insights with clear recommendations
- Create executive presentations (storytelling, charts, high level)
- Partner with stakeholders (Ops, Sales, Finance, Marketing) to standardize definitions and automate reporting
- Maintain a lightweight “single source of truth” approach (data dictionary, report catalog, refresh schedules)
- Uses AI tools effectively by writing clear, structured prompts, iterating quickly, validating outputs, and turning results into faster, higher-quality analysis and presentations
- Present to and collaborate with senior and executive leaders on projects
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years (or equivalent) in analytics/reporting
- Strong SQL in a production environment
- Strong Power BI (data modeling + DAX)
- Clear communicator: can present to non-technical audiences and defend assumptions
- Solid Excel skills (pivoting, lookups, structured tables)
- AI focused experience and interest
Preferred Experience - Python (pandas) or R for deeper analysis
- Experience with ERP/CRM data (e.g., Infor Visual, SAP, HubSpot/Salesforce)
- Data warehouse experience (AWS/SQL Server/Azure)
- Basic statistics, forecasting, or operations analytics
