Job Description
The Director of IT & Data is responsible for leading the execution of IT & Data projects that support various departments throughout the business. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands how to develop world-class technology solutions, in an industrial manufacturing environment. The Director of IT & Data will achieve success by removing barriers and providing clarity to the team, to successfully deliver the company’s technical roadmap.Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT & data team
- Translate the company’s high-level vision into actionable plans for developers and customer support personnel
- Coordinate the IT & data team to prioritize, decide and deliver projects, including our CAD system, manufacturing data, sales data, customer data, company hardware and datacenters
- Ensure development efforts remain focused on the highest priority business objectives
- Coordinate collaboration between other departments on applicable projects and requests
- Manage multiple projects and responsibilities, including internal team members and third party resources, to execute project completion
- Manage all resources to the budget
- Continuously improve processes, workflows, and team performance
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills across multiple departments and teams throughout an organization; including executive leadership proposals and updates
- Technical understanding and experience with
* Microsoft Azure Ecosystem (Azure DevOps, Synapse, SQL, Storage, Data Services)
* Enterprise Data Platforms & Analytics
* Data Architecture, Data Governance & Data Management
* AI / OpenAI Initiatives & Process Innovation
* Software Development, Implementation & Systems Modernization - Ability to solve problems, remove obstacles, and keep projects progressing on track
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Desire and ability to work in-person, not a remote role
