Fab Parts Supervisor

Job Description
The Fab Parts Supervisor drives all efforts of product quality, team safety, schedule adherence, team leadership and new employee training. This individual is responsible for strategic planning of the shop, in alignment with Trinity Trailer management objectives. The Supervisor is the shop visionary, consistently considering if there is a better way for the shop to operate, and making positive changes.Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee shop schedule expectations and execution through leadership and impactful communication.
- Proactively resolve safety issues as they are identified, including coaching and training shop employees in appropriate safety practices.
- Address material needs,including developing a process for timely material delivery to shop.
- Help identify Engineering issues and collaborate with them on solutions.
- Look for process improvements to increase throughput.
- Assist Team Leads with ongoing team training and new hire onboarding efforts.
- Set expectations for a clean and organized shop.
- Address team conflicts including harassment or offensive behavior issues, escalating to Production Manager when applicable.
- Promote a positive attitude and work environment, celebrating shop successes regularly.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong experience and ability to lead others effectively
- Strong knowledge of quality improvement processes
- Proficient computer skills, including database entry
- Ability to support Company policies and the management team through performance
