Fabrication Team Lead

Department: Fabrication   |   Location: Boise, ID

Job Description

The Fabrication Team Lead supports Fabrication team members by identifying and solving issues, and escalating necessary matters to production leadership. This person also assists the Fabrication Supervisor to coordinate team member workloads, deliver work to the schedule, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate for this position is collaborative by nature, leads by measurables, and genuinely cares about the team they support.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily production and adjust accordingly to meet schedule expectations
  • Onboard new hires, prioritizing safety and The Trinity Way
  • Review production set-ups for accuracy and quality requirements
  • Assist troubleshooting of machines, dies, jigs
  • Assist in quality and safety investigations
  • Report issues/problems to the Supervisor or Production management
  • Perform daily inventories of parts
  • Ensure document control is being completed accurately and timely
  • Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
  • Display an attitude of cooperation and work well with a team
  • Lead by example in actions and decisions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with Trinity fabrication teams, or similar work environments
  • Basic computer skills experience is necessary to be successful in this position
  • Proven ability to take initiative and to lead a team with accountability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Genuine interest in learning Trinity systems and processes
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3 years manufacturing experience
