Fleet Manager

Job Description

The Fleet Manager is responsible for administering the rental trailer fleet and coordinating all trailer deliveries. This role ensures all the necessary steps are complete prior to release of trailers to the customer. The ideal candidate for this position thrives off of processes, is an exceptional representation of the business when interfacing with customers and is comfortable solving issues on their feet.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Verify cost and transactions for each new trailer
  • Administer the rental fleet including servicing intervals, customer invoicing and fleet health measurables
  • Generate and track all issued build numbers and vin numbers
  • Compile delivery documentation for all trailer orders
  • Arrange shipping for all trailers and truck beds
  • Finalize trailer and truck bed paperwork in the Company ERP system
  • Ensure Company title work meets federal and state requirements
  • Process manufacturer’s statement of origin
  • Document all major equipment purchase and sales
  • Ensure and maintain Company fleet insurance and registration
  • Ensure all Territory Sales Managers have valid licenses and permits
  • Track federal excise tax (FET) and ensure it is paid bi-monthly
  • Administrative backup, including main phone line and front desk greeting
  • Display an attitude of cooperation and work well with a team

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of business related experience
  • ERP software experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite programs and computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience
