LITWILLER FARMS
A Customer Success Story
Avoiding Downtime and Maximizing Output
Litwiller Farms relies on their custom Trinity EagleBridge trailers to move chicken litter from chicken farms to fields. With the high demands of their operation, they need equipment that "sets us apart from everyone else." Luckily, they found it in Trinity trailers.
THE SEARCH FOR RELIABLE EQUIPMENT
Jed Litwiller knows a thing or two about the value of dependable equipment. As the owner of Litwiller Farms, his operation specializes in cleaning out chicken barns, hauling manure, and applying it to farmland as fertilizer. In peak seasons, his team hauls up to 80 loads in just four to five days.
"We have to haul 35 to 80 loads out of a farm in a matter of four or five days," Jed says. "That kind of volume requires dependable equipment. If you lose a day at the start of the week, you're going to lose a day all week long."
Jed’s road to reliability wasn’t always smooth.
Turning to the open market, Jed tried a Trinity that was pre-owned he bought from a private party. "We started off with an EagleBridge®. It was a solid trailer, but it was just too long for where we needed to go. We ended up selling it after a couple of years."
Looking for a better fit, they moved to silage or “chain drag” style trailers.
"They worked good, until we started breaking apron chains and cracking them up from pulling them through ditches." That’s when Jed knew he needed something tougher.
DISCOVERING TRINITY TRAILER
A pivotal moment came when Jed attended the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY where Jed ordered a customized EAGLE BRIDGE built specifically for his operation.
"We saw Trinity there and got to talking to them — and we’ve never looked back."

HIGHLIGHTS
PERFORMANCE IN THE FIELD
Today, Litwiller Farms runs two Trinity trailers (and a third on order) that handle 90% of their hauling.
"When you pull 50,000 pounds through a ditch, it's gonna flex somewhere. Trinity is built to flex. After running it a year and a half, we’ve got no cracks whatsoever."
For Jed, it’s about avoiding downtime and maximizing output.
"The big thing for us is having products that we know are going to haul the loads we need—without breakdowns. I'm not going to be pulling wrenches. I’m not going to be having breakdowns."
"We try to maintain and run equipment that sets us apart from everyone else.” That is why Jed chooses Trinity trailers over any other.
