Job Summary:
The manufacturing engineer develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying manufacturing methods to implement solutions and decrease production issues and increase quality. The ideal candidate for this role has relevant experience with semi-trailer, heavy truck, agriculture, automotive or heavy construction product design. Success in a collaborative and fast-paced environment will help this team member thrive. This is an in-person role, located in Boise Idaho.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, problem solve and support highest priorities related to production delays and quality issues.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Translate between the engineering and manufacturing teams, to support collaboration and progress.
- Confer with engineering team to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Experience:
- 5 years of experience working with 3D parametric CAD software.
- Success training others in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and mechanisms, structural, hydraulic, semi-trailer components, i.e., suspensions, electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
