Get the Most Out of Your Agricultural Trailer

Grain Funnels for Belt Trailers

WHEN YOU’RE HAULING AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES, chances are you’re not just carrying one type of haul. You’re moving soybeans, corn, barley, wheat and countless other commodities from sun-up to sun-down.

You need your belt trailer to do it all — including unload dry grain.

That’s why we invented a custom grain funnel for your Trinity.

How It Works

Belt trailers typically unload commodities into piles and heaps. While this might be fine for unloading corn or soybeans, this makes it impossible for trailers to unload grain into an auger.

That’s where our solution comes in. A grain funnel is an aluminum fixture that can be attached to the back end of a 48-inch, 61-inch or standard size belt. When the belt trailer unloads, the funnel will channel the grain into a smooth, controlled flow through a narrower opening. From there, the dry grain can fall directly into the 25-inch opening of an auger.

HOW TO INSTALL

We designed our funnel to be easy to use, remove and mount on the side of your Trinity — no tools or extra manpower required. Just pull out the two pins attaching the funnel to the side of the trailer, slide the funnel onto the receiving rails underneath the trailer floor and secure it in place with the two pins.

When you’ve finished unloading, just remove the pins and secure the grain funnel back to its original position on the side of the trailer. You’ll be ready to get back on the road.

WHY WE INVENTED THE GRAIN FUNNEL

We believe a great belt trailer should be able to handle the demands of any load, even dry grain. In the 1980s, we invented the grain funnel after hearing one too many farmers saying they felt forced to choose between a hopper trailer and a belt trailer. Today, our grain funnels are still hand-welded by our team of craftsmen and used by farmers across the country.

Thanks to our invention, we’ve been able to maximize the versatility of our trailers. Some of our customers have said they’ve completely replaced their hopper with a Trinity because it can haul the same type of loads.
