Job Summary:
The Data Engineer plays an instrumental role in designing, developing, and maintaining data storage and pipeline solutions for enterprise analytics. This person can expect ownership over data accessibility, and maintenance of software/data platforms on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, tenacious in their approach and enjoys collaborating. This is a full time, in-person role.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- On-board new sources of data for data platform(s).
- Develop and document data pipelines, while monitoring and maintaining the data pipeline job status.
- Design architecture for future platform growth including data repository, star schemas and tabular models.
- Collaborate with departments to find or develop solutions to meet their needs.
- Consult with IT stakeholders to ensure data utilization and accessibility aligns with Company core values and goal achievement.
Previous Experience:
- Technical proficiency with data integration, data repository, and Star Schema design patterns.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud Infrastructure.
- Understand business processes logical data models and relational database implementations for data analysis and reporting.
- Build data expertise and implement own data quality test cases for required areas.
- Expert knowledge of following code version control, and deployment standards and support.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and of relational database systems and concepts.
- Expert knowledge in Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Power BI, PySpark and SQL Spark.
- Understanding of Web development and modern technologies.
- Ability to ingest unstructured and semi-structured data sources like JSON, PDF’s, etc.
- Proven communication and collaboration skills.
