Job Summary:
The VP of Product Development oversees the team that turns concepts into tangible products. They ensure that product designs create customer value, are feasible, and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative product leader with an eye for on-brand designs, product applications and production methods. This position will work with executives and managers to deliver exceptional products while also inspiring the team to achieve goals.
- Lead and manage product development efforts.
- Establish strategic product direction to continuously create customer value.
- Oversee translation of product strategy into actionable designs.
- Prototype new products and product improvements that are technically feasible and reflect company brand.
- Verify items are produced as designed as intended.
- Continuously improve products to create a competitive advantage.
- Create and implement new tools and business processes that simplify and enable new product innovation.
- Proven experience creating compelling vision for change, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills, in various modalities, at all levels of a manufacturing organization.
- Experience using data to solve problems and make decisions.
- Experience with 3D modeling software, Autodesk/Vault preferred.
- Experience with quote configure tools and associated integrations preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in previous, related role.
- Ability and desire to work in-person, not a remote role.
